La Maison Blanche is a 100% Cameroonian restaurant, with fish stalls at the entrance where you can choose your fish or seafood fresh from the market. In fact, the "mamans" at the stoves call out to customers in much the same way as they do at the market. Charcoal grilling is part of the price and protocol, and as an accompaniment, the ladies suggest plantain or potato French fries, or miondos (fermented cassava sticks). Here, you'll taste the true flavour of the braise, just as they do at home.
