Selecte is Yaoundé's legendary bakery. More than just a classic bakery, it's also a pastry shop, a general food store and an ice cream parlour. Very popular because it's right in the center of town, the bakery also offers a selection of sandwiches and savory snacks to eat on the go. Here, sales are exclusively take-away, and the rush is between 11am and 2pm. Open 24 hours a day, it's also the place to be for night owls looking for a bite to eat on their way out of the local nightclubs.
