The Ngo Njok Lipo waterfalls are named after a woman who lived there and, according to legend, was endowed with occult powers. Like most natural sites and waterfalls in Cameroon, they are charged with beliefs and spiritual values that can be both beneficial and frightening. Here, the falls were once used to throw people convinced of witchcraft overboard. To this day, they are the object of spiritual rites, and people come here to leave gifts and offerings.
