Camrail offers a variety of travel modes, depending on the fare. Only the most adventurous will take a2nd class ticket, because although the atmosphere is more than friendly and frankly picturesque (chickens on board, improvised sleeping arrangements in the aisles, drunken discussions and flowery language), the 12 hours of travel in the stiff little armchairs of second class are enough to break the strongest. In 1st class, we travel in compartments with bunks, and hot and cold snacks and drinks are served throughout the journey.
