Mythical 5-star hotel with hushed, spacious rooms offering sea or garden views.
The legendary Grand Hôtel de Cabourg has dominated the beach since 1907. Artists love to stay here, especially during the Romantic Film Festival. Each floor is named in honour of personalities associated with Cabourg, such as Marcel Proust, for whom, according to legend, room 414 was reserved. If you’re short on budget, why not treat yourself to a cup of tea and the traditional "madeleine de Proust"? This Normandy coast institution is open to everyone!

"Duo sole and lobster", completely tasteless truffle slices, a dessert that never arrive and the waiter, realizing lack, does not even split a word of excuse. The second café, which was obviously an embarrassing request, had left a coffee maker and not of the espresso machine... 4,5€ coffee, it seems to me to be a minimum of to reopen the machine.
The "cloakroom" is actually in a corridor leading to the facilities, integrality from the clientele from the hotel and other visitors, without any supervision.
The facilities and for them miss maintenance lacking: the washing gel was already empty in the early evening, towels also disappeared in time without being renewed, leaving any guest l-shaped impossibility of wiping hands and J on the way. When leaving was far from quality expected from a 4 star... Which beautiful image.
Given the quality of the service, I wonder how this restaurant with been able to obtain a hat and Gault Millau, and I can from there to ask me whether the hotel is also worthy of its star...
