This bridge provides access to Baie Nettlé, Terres Basses and the Dutch part of the island. It lifts at set times to give access to boats travelling between the sea and the lagoon (priority to outgoing boats, width 10 m, depth 3.5/3.8 m, draught 2.9/3.3 m). You may encounter traffic jams when it opens, so be patient, especially in high season! Or take a trip around Simpson Bay... where you'll find another lift bridge.
