Cuisine based on local and seasonal products in a restaurant in Caen offering jazz dinner concerts.

Nestled in the grounds of the château, Le Mancel enjoys a truly privileged location. And with its small rooftop where you can sip a good cocktail, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the château's courtyard and adjacent sculptures. On the plates, local producers take pride of place: scallops, Creully mushrooms, Cotentin ham, tripe, Trouville mackerel, Isigny butter and cream... As you can see, the cuisine is homemade, creative, local and seasonal, with a fresh take on the Normandy region.

Nous avons passé une soirée de Saint-Valentin juste géniale grâce à l’ambiance du restaurant et au menu proposé qui été très gourmand !! Merci !

Une expérience un peu surréaliste aujourd'hui: très longue attente car personnel manquant en cuisine, déclenchement de l'alarme incendie qu'on ne peut pas arrêter -pendant 10 minutes-... Le tout compensé par une cuisine inventive et délicieuse , un service très aimable et le champagne offert , surprise de la fin de repas pour se faire pardonner les problèmes du jour!
Sans rancune! On reviendra tester en fonctionnement normal!. :)

Bien situé dans un cadre historique ,au calme .Nous avons très bien dîné ( excellentes coquilles saint Jacques, très bon dessert aux pommes et cidre bouché normand ) .table à ne pas manquer à Caen .
