Eve and Hervé Delbarre, an art lover, took over this almost mythical place, offering it a second life. Accustomed to the galleries they visit during their travels (the name is inspired by a place in Montreal), Eve and Hervé have left their mark: the absence of exhibition places as such for artists in Caen. A void filled with this gallery like the others. The space is open to artists in the widest sense of the word (painting, sculpture, photography…) but also to Schools of Art which find here the opportunity to make their works known to insiders but also to a wider audience, because everyone here is welcome. Eve and Hervé don’t want to be gallery players, they don’t ask for any penny on the sale of works and simply put La Place des Arts at the disposal of artists by weekly or monthly rental. The artists exhibited are above all strokes, so notice to interested parties, you can submit your file by mail, it will then be studied by the selection committee.
