LES RIVES DE L'ORNE
Inaugurated on 13 May 2013, at a dozen minutes walking distance from the city centre, the urban complex is home to its ready-to-wear signs, which until then have been unpublished in the city. Guaranteed attendance, even in the evening, thanks to the restaurants that animate the central square and the cinema Pathé. Parades and animations (such as the Caen-Plage this summer) further energise this quiet place. But that is not all. The banks of the Orne are also home to a hotel (Ibis), a pharmacy (open even on Sundays) and even the premises of France Bleu Basse-Normandie. It is true that a few signs disappear to be replaced. If we regret the closing of the second Monoprix and the Grande Récré, we are happy to find the Danish boutique Hema at mini prices, for example. The smart plan is the Rive de l’Orne privilege card issued graciously at the reception. It offers you - in addition to the discounts at the shops - two hours of free parking in the underground car park (with an extended duration if you go to Pathé cinema), a luxury in the city centre. Very good at the parking lot: light controls that indicate the free spaces.
