MÉDIATHÈQUE DU MÉMORIAL

In free and independent access to the museum, the media centre overlooks the great hall of the Memorial. Its holdings (books and videos) are specialised in the Second World War and the history of the twentieth century. Space is free access, access to documents is free, and to borrow, you just have to register. With the network card of the Caen la Mer library (free and reserved for residents of Normandy) you can borrow a maximum of 5 books and 2 DVDs for 4 weeks with a security of 40 euros (in case of loss or deterioration). A multimedia space offers free access to CD-ROM consulting stations (can also be borrowed) but Internet access is paid (EUR 1 per hour). The Memorial also has a photo library of a fund of more than 40,000 clichés on the Second World War and more particularly on the Landing and Battle of Normandy.
