One of the few local monuments to have survived the Liberation bombings in Caen.
It is equally called "the Tower of Pisa Caen." Although the parallel is a little early, we must admit that with its tilt and tall steeple, the collegiate really seems to imitate the famous Italian tower. The collegiate was built in the thirteenth century, on marshy ground, which explains its specificity. It is one of the few monuments of the district to have survived the bombings of the Liberation.
