A place where as many people as possible can make artistic discoveries
Yvonne Guégan was a great artist and a free woman gifted with a rare humanity! Born in Caen in 1915, and admitted to the Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1935, she painted destruction and bombardment (we owe her the La Flamme monument in Ouistreham!). Deeply selfless, she opened her house to all, gave painting and ceramics classes, and welcomed young artists in residence, values perpetuated today by the bequest of her house. The association that brings the house to life enables as many people as possible to make wonderful artistic discoveries.
