This old plantation was built at the end of the 17th century. Clement De Weever bought this estate from his employers. First sugar cane was grown here and then Sea Island cotton was sent to England, Barbados and other places. Then cattle, horses and mules were raised. The mules were sent to Guadeloupe and Martinique to work on the roads. The arrival of tractors put an end to the breeding. In 1960, the house was damaged and Clement De Weever decided to move to Philipsburg, closer to his business.
