Grand Hôtel Villa de France, superbly renovated in Tangier, with a pleasant swimming pool and spacious rooms

This mythical place in the city center has seen a large number of celebrities and artists. Matisse painted "Paysage vu de la Fenêtre" here. To enjoy what the painter saw from his window, ask for room 35. The other rooms are equally spacious and have the same attention to detail. The building, which dates from the late 18th century, has been beautifully renovated. The swimming pool with its beautiful blue tiles is very pleasant. Various breakfasts taken in the calm.

Superbe établissement pour y séjourner, y manger (excellent restaurant!) ou tout simplement pour visiter la fameuse chambre Matisse (la no 35); le personnel est très gentil, très accueillant et le jardin est de toute beauté! A découvrir !

C'est un hotel de luxe recentement rennove. Beaucoup des artists, écrivains, voyageurs y sont passé pendant les années. J'y suis allé pour voir ou ils ont abité. J'ai demandé, comme ça, si je peu voir la chambre de Matisse....et voilá, on m'a accompagné tres gentilment à la chambre n. 35. Voyez la fenetre avec la vue qui est devenue un tableau fameux!
