Renovation work began in 2023 - for at least a year - in the souk of Fondouk Chejra, the weavers' market, which was in an advanced state of deterioration. Yves Saint Laurent used to come here to have the city's finest craftsmen weave curtains and blankets to decorate his Moroccan homes. If you want to see the artisans at work, bent over their looms, and order pieces from them, you'll have to go to Rue Siaghine, where they've been temporarily installed between Petit and Grand Socco.

A voir pour son activité bourdonnante et l'architecture du lieu.On imagine la vie des caravaniers faisant une halte dans cet "hôtel", il y a fort longtemps.
