Tangier is succumbing to the shopping mall frenzy, and malls are springing up all over the city. Rue de Fès has inherited its own: the Tanger Mall, due to open in 2019. The health crisis has caused some minor delays. The result: some stores are closed or empty, despite a modern, fully air-conditioned building and fittings that sometimes take on a futuristic air, such as the stylish backlit escalators. Doga Coffee, with a concept borrowed from the big Seattle chain, is the first to have taken possession of an outlet.
