CAFÉ TINGIS
One of Tangier's historic cafés, perfect for sipping a juice or mint tea while watching the bustle of the Petit Socco.
Situated just opposite Café Central, Café Tingis has a devoted following. The terrace of this café steeped in history allows you to enjoy the spectacle of the Place du Petit Socco. You'll recognize it by its unmistakable zinc tables and imitation wicker chairs, typical of Moroccan terraces. Despite prices designed for wealthy tourists, you'll find a regular clientele who meet for tea or coffee to swap news. They squat in the indoor room, while passing visitors take over the terrace.

It is a pity, because we love this place, but the tea is a little bitter from we discovered!
