Tanjazz is a true institution whose notes vibrate well beyond Tangier. For a week, the city sets the tone for jazz, in all its variations. Hundreds of fans come to discover the future greats who play in small cafés or hotel lounges and applaud the headliners who perform at the Palace of Italian Institutions. The city resounds with the notes of piano, double bass, drums that form a joyful party. The festival celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2019 and welcomed a record attendance.
