SPANISH CHURCH
A Spanish church, the first of the entire Christian community in Morocco, with Swedish crests in the main entrance
King Mohamed III offered the building to the Swedish government around 1780, which set up its first consulate in Morocco. Swedish badges are still visible in the main entrance. When the Spaniards came, they appropriated it as the residence of the Franciscans of the Catholic mission and built a large church to replace the smaller one on Correos Street (near the Fuentès pension). This church will then be called "La Purisima". At that time, this church was the first of the entire Christian community in Morocco.
