MOSQUÉE MOHAMMED V
This religious edifice, the construction of which was launched by King Mohammed VI, then Crown Prince, was inaugurated in 1983. A jewel of traditional Moroccan architecture, the mosque can be seen from afar thanks to its superb minaret overlooking the city. It is part of a 4,500 square metre complex that includes the headquarters of the Regional Council of Ulemas, the Ibn Attya Institute of Theological Studies with boarding facilities, the headquarters of the Delegation of the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs, and a library.
