Cape Malabata located a few kilometers from Tangier on the road to Ceuta, offering a superb view of the strait, and the city
On the road to Ceuta, 9 km from Tangier, you pass Cape Malabata and its lighthouse, taking a small road to the left of the main road. The stone structure on the right, part castle, part abbey, with its cloister-like vaulted openings, actually dates from the turn of the century, but is impressive nonetheless. The cape offers a spectacular view of the Strait, as well as of the city of Tangier, whose organization is easy to understand. The lighthouse, on the other hand, is not open to visitors, as it is used by the Royal Armed Forces.
