ASILAH MEDINA
Surrounded by walls built by the Portuguese in the 15th century, Asilah is home to a lovely medina that attracts many artists.
The medina of Asilah is perfectly maintained. The houses are painted in indigo with calligraphy and street art on the walls. The whole medina is surrounded by ramparts, built at the end of the 15th century by Alphonse V of Portugal. It is very pleasant to walk along these walls, restored a few years ago, on the seafront to reach an overhang in the ocean. From there, you will have a sublime view of the white medina that you can visit by entering one of the three magnificent doors: Bab el Houmar, Bab el Bahr, and Bab el Kasbah.
