BAINS ARABES
Arabian baths located almost in front of the Juan Carlo Park, with traditional elements, hammams of the medieval period
Located almost opposite the Juan Carlo I Park, these Arab baths date back to the 12th and 13th centuries. Well preserved and restored, they include the traditional elements of the hammams of the medieval period. The central courtyard provided access to the different parts of the hammam, namely the cold water baths, the warm water baths and the hot water baths. A room next to the hot baths housed the oven, the boiler and the wood store. Besides the hygienic aspect, the baths also had a religious function of purification and social function.
