IRCAM
This institute radically altered the relationship between power and Berbers, since prior to its creation it was sometimes forbidden to speak Berber and, above all, to teach it in schools. On the contrary, IRCAM encouraged the renaissance of the Berber alphabet, the tifinagh, prior to the Greek alphabet, and made available educational tools for learning in school places. Research, linguistic, anthropological and historical history of Berber culture is now encouraged, even though certain tensions remain, including identity orders.
