MEDINA
Medina with lively alleys, colorful souks and craftsmen workshops, a good address for a walk in Rabat.
Like the medina of Casablanca, that of Rabat is quite recent, its oldest buildings dating back to the seventeenth century. Better maintained than that of the White City, all its ceilings have been redone in mashrabiya and it has a more pleasant face where it is good to stroll. One will take the time to explore its lively alleyways to mingle with the rumours of the colourful souks, in the fragrances of the spice pyramids. We will push to the end of the Rue des Consuls to discover the small artisan workshops it conceals.
