THE CERAMICS MUSEUM
Regional museum of ceramics presenting a rich collection of handicrafts in an 18th century borj in Salé.
Created in 1994, this regional ceramic museum is housed in an 18th century borj. Rich and varied, the collection presents various handcrafted creations, including pottery from the Fez region, the Rif and the Middle Atlas. Some of the rooms are remarkable, the oldest of which date from the Almohad period (12th century). This historical period coincides with the commercial boom of this city, ideally located between Fez and Marrakech, whose port was an active centre of trade between Europe and Morocco.
