GÎTE RURAL TAZOUTA
This cottage is named after the tazotas. These stone-shaped stone constructions that appear on the roads along the road serve as a greniers for the peasants and are typical of the Doukkala region. Designed by a couple of retirees working closely with farmers in the region, this cottage initiative is supported by the region's tourism department. This is an opportunity for authentic immersion in local traditions. One of the seven rooms is a little kitsch but very pleasant. In the gardens attached to the houses, we rêvasse by smoking the chicha. At the time of meals, Malika prepares on order the typical dishes of the Doukkala region, cleverly handling spices and sweet-salted contrasts. It is also an opportunity to taste the local products of an agricultural cooperative. You may have the opportunity to taste a speciality of the Doukkala region, la gara hamra, a red squash known throughout Morocco. During the day, excursions are arranged with a donkey to visit them in the region or discover the landscapes at an ideal rate. To relax, a charming little hammam has also been set up on the spot. In a friendly and rural setting, the pleasures of the Moroccan art of living are discovered.
