For three generations, the Grandval family has been producing Calvados AOC Pays d'Auge, Cidre, Pommeau... on this superb Augeron estate steeped in history. Grandfather Yvon and his producer friends created the Syndicat des producteurs du Cru de Cambremer and the Route du Cidre. Today, Stéphane and Lucille welcome you to the family's 28-hectare organic farm. Take a detour to discover the site, with its half-timbered buildings, 16th-century cellar and press, and 20 varieties of apples.

Je vais régulièrement chercher des cartons de cidre depuis plusieurs années chez ce producteur dont le cidre est délicieux à chaque nouvelles récoltes. Propriété magnifique, leurs champs de pommiers au printemps en fleurs et poiriers sont impressionnants, accueil toujours sympathiques, vous avez la possibilité de déguster sur place ainsi que de faire une visite gratuite de la cave et projecteur vidéo. N'hésitez pas, prix très abordables :)

Nestled in a small valley in amongst the bocage is this beautiful cider manor in perfectly romantic Normandy style. We arrived to Cambremer late on a Sunday and this place was the only one that was open, so we went there, and boy are we happy that we did! We got to watch a small video on the production methods with English subtitles, followed by a tour of both the old and new cider and calvados making facilities and we finished off with a tasting of everything from cider, calvados and pommeau. We especially enjoyed the poiré ( cider from 100 % pear juice) and the extra brut apple cider, but make sure to also try the cider made with the champagne method. All in all if you only have the time to visit one cider maker in Normandy, this might be it.
