Trading post on a rock in Tarfaya Bay, recreated on the beach in Morocco in 1895, with a better view
Built on a rock in Tarfaya Bay by Mac Kenzie, a Scottish engineer, in 1886 as a trading post, the Casamar reflects the strange attraction of this site lost between sea and desert. Mac Kenzie did not take advantage of this site for a long time because trade declined, then the Spaniards built it as a fort. The Casamar recalls that Tarfaya has been an important centre for world trade and the Aeropostale. It was returned to Morocco in 1895. It is at the end of the port, on the beach, that you will have the best view of the Casamar.
