SPANISH CHURCH
Spanish church often hosts celebrations and Christian foreigners from the UN mission in Laâyoune every Sunday
One of the few vestiges of the Spanish era. There are still some street name signs in Spanish, but most of them have been changed and translated into Arabic and French. The church is now fully open and celebrations are often held there. Masses are celebrated in a rota system with Spanish-accented priests who also officiate in Dakhla and other places in the South. Foreign Christians from the UN mission in Laayoune meet there every Sunday.
