The village of Amezrou, with its fortified village, traditional houses and synagogue
It is at the foot of Jebel Zagora that the village of Amezrou is located, a gateway to the era of trans-Saharan trade. The wealth from the Sahara and sub-Saharan Africa passed through here until the middle of the 20th century. Do not miss the visit of the ksar of Amezrou, an 18th century fortified village. Since the 1950s, new houses have been built around these traditional houses inhabited by Jews. At the end of an alleyway, there is a synagogue. It is possible to visit it for a few dirhams.
