THE TOMB OF JEAN GENET 1910 - 1986
Grave in a peaceful setting in Larache, overlooking a cliff facing the ocean, frequented by the author for reflection and rest
Jean Genet, who died in Paris in 1986, had expressed the desire to be buried in Larache because he had lived there for a long time. In a peaceful setting, his tomb, the only one not decorated with a cross, is in the small Spanish cemetery, located about 200 meters further than the Muslim one. In this place, which nicely overlooks the cliff facing the ocean, the author came regularly to reflect and rest. The guard at the entrance will take you to his grave for a few dirhams.
