ASSOCIATION FÉMININE DE BIENFAISANCE EL KHIR (AFBK)
Founded in 1998 by Souad Dibi, now president, this association aims to help women in the region to find their social autonomy by helping them to create their professional project. AFBK thus fights illiteracy, conducts health awareness campaigns, supports women by offering them internships in the workplace and lucrative activities. With the help of psychologists, the association's office also organizes a listening unit (individual and group) for these women: some are victims of domestic violence or fall into prostitution to earn a living. On average, the association helps between 500 and 800 women per year to integrate into a rewarding professional life. Thanks to the support of several national and international partners, 3-month training modules were set up in hotel chains in the region and some women were eventually hired! The cooking workshops organised in the premises enable this association to finance literacy courses in French and Arabic. This is a great way for the visitor to combine business with pleasure! The shop allows you to support the project by buying some products: books, key rings, bookmarks, cosmetics based on argan oil and other craft products.
