(MUSEUM OF ARTS AND POPULAR TRADITIONS)
This museum, which, let us say it, does not pay too much mine, from outside, full of information and beautiful objects. On two floors, it traces the history of Essaouira and its region. Many informative panels, well done, help make the visit even more interesting. There are musical instruments, carpets, jewelry, belt loops, costumes, painted wood and weapons. Another 3 showcases present other aspects of the traditional musical life of Essaouira. On the first floor are alawi coins, silverware (fibules, pectoral plates), trays, tables in marquetry, as well as painted wood panels and rifles. This visit will take you only an hour and is really interesting.
