Paintings and sculptures in a remarkable gallery, one of the oldest in Essaouira, installed near the Bab Sbaâ gate.
Close to the Bab Sbaâ gate, the Othello space is one of the oldest galleries in the city. You will find there naive or contemporary paintings, mostly African, but also calligraphies and sculptures made by Moroccan and foreign artists. Place of meetings and exchanges, it welcomes among others the formation of the Free Artists of Essaouira. A little glance under the stone vault will not commit you to anything and, who knows, maybe you will find there a small original gift to bring back?
