AMAZIGH KASBAH
A fortress in the heart of Taourirt, with a roof terrace used for artisanal weaving and the production of beautiful carpets
In the heart of Taourirt, Jamel Debbouze had a large Kasbah (translation: fortress or reed) built for the retraining of village women, especially divorced women. Mohammed takes us on a tour: on the roof terrace, two of them use the artisanal loom to weave beautiful carpets. The women weave 3 hours a day and for a few more hours, they take care of the maintenance of the Kasbah. Inside, the first large room is dedicated to the women's work around the carpets.
