While he was in charge of designing the urban plan for the city of Casablanca, Henri Prost made the current Mohammed-V boulevard one of the structural axes of the new city. Before building the elegant Art Deco buildings, whose patinated facades are now being contemplated, he had to negotiate hard with the landowners in order to reclaim the necessary parcels of land.
