THE MEXICAN VILLAGE
Tanagmelt, with its peaceful way of life, is a fine example of a Berber village built around a tangle of picturesque lanes
It is said that at an undetermined time, a traveler from Mexico visited the village and noted a disturbing resemblance with a pueblo of his native country. So don't look for traces of Mayan culture, there are none. In fact, Tanagmelt is a beautiful example of a Berber village, built in a tangle of picturesque alleys. Life goes on peacefully: the beldi poultry , dashing, occupies the street, mules sometimes come out of the houses and the children do laps in the fountain, not far from mom washing clothes. Morocco, what!
