Chanyakapuri is the district of the embassies and representations of the federated states of India. It is rather quiet and inanimate at night. On weekends, the Samrat Hotel shakes up the consular staff's routine a bit and turns up the decibels in its nightclub. Gone is the Key Nightclub, hello Playboy. The club has been entirely revamped in a neo-classical style, with antique columns and friezes and statues of ephebes. The tables surrounded by large benches are installed on and under the mezzanine.
