NATIONAL GANDHI MUSEUM
Museum featuring a collection of photos tracing the Mahatma's life, his personal belongings and the weapon used to assassinate him.
The museum presents a moving collection of photos retracing the Mahatma's life, as well as personal objects including his spinning wheel. You will also see the pistol that was used to assassinate him. The scenography is a bit old-fashioned and Gandhi deserves a better tribute from his nation. Nevertheless, the period of the liberation struggle is very well documented and the museum also serves as a centre for study and research on the Mahatma. It therefore preserves an important collection of documents, articles, photos and films on the Father of the Nation.
