KESI GHAT
Ghat, one of the last remnants of the city, highly prized by pilgrims for its history and by photography enthusiasts
This ghat is very popular with pilgrims because it is here that Lord Krishna is said to have killed the demon Kesi who appeared in the form of a gigantic horse. Krishna is said to have taken a purifying bath in the river Yamuna. As in Mathura, you can take a boat for a short ride on the water to the bridge, from where you can walk to the town of Vrindavan. The place will appeal to photography enthusiasts as there is always something going on. The Kesi ghat is one of the last remaining ghats in the city.
