ELEPHANT FESTIVAL
Go there and contact
Although elephants have played an important role in the history of Rajasthan, there are hardly any left in the state. In the past, kings had entire armies of elephants, and the behemoths were used as mounts on the battlefield and as battering rams for forcing their way into fortresses. The city of Jaipur pays homage to its elephants, which are still used to climb to the top of the Amber Fort. The pachyderms are caparisoned and painted for the occasion and after a colorful procession through the streets of the city, they engage in polo matches.
