VIDHAN SABHA BHAWAN
Building housing state deputies built in Jodhpur and Paharpur stone with classical architectural details
The Rajasthan Legislative Assembly has its seat south of Ashok Nagar, across Central Park. The building housing the state's MLAs was inaugurated in March 2001. Entirely built of Jodhpur and Paharpur stone, the building features the classical architectural details of the region: jarokhas (bow-window windows), chhatris (bell towers), baradaris (12-arched outdoor walkways)... The central dome has a diameter of 31 meters and overhangs the building with majesty. At nightfall, the building is illuminated with electric garlands.
