Behind the high walls of the old parade route to Agra lies Queen Sisodia's garden. Located 6 km south of the City Palace, this is where the wife of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and her ladies used to come, preferably in summer, to cool off. The gardens consist of stepped terraces, embellished with ponds, fountains and water features. A small two-storey palace occupies the upper terrace. The rich decorations can still be seen through the glass doors.
