SARISKA PALACE
Hunting lodge turned hotel and relaxing resort with huge rooms, a restaurant and a quality welcome
This hunting residence, built in 1898 in the middle of nowhere by the Maharajah of Alwar in honor of Prince Connaught, became a hotel in 1977. The huge park overlooking the Sariska Reserve makes it a relaxing resort. In the corridors of the palace, pictures and hunting paintings of the maharajah are displayed. The huge rooms have very nice bathrooms, but the furniture is not up to standard. The hotel organizes safaris and excursions to the surrounding villages. The restaurant and the reception are of excellent quality.
