DARGAH HAZRAT QAMAR UD-DIN SHAH
A rather majestic monument surmounted by a dome, recalling the tolerance of Hindu kings towards Islam, with a very serene atmosphere
This monument is a reminder of the tolerance of the Hindu kings towards Islam: Qamr ud-Din (1784-1859) was a Muslim saint venerated in the region. The rulers of Jhunjhunu gave him a piece of land so that he could set up a madrassa (Koranic school). At his death, they built this tomb, topped by a white dome and with a facade decorated with floral motifs, rare pictorial elements allowed by Islam. The atmosphere of the site is very serene and quite majestic.
