KHETRI MAHAL
A palace with a proud exterior thanks to its arches and colonnades, offering a temple with beautiful frescoes.
Built in the second half of the 18th century, the palace retains a proud exterior with arches and colonnades. Unfortunately, the interior has been abandoned. Note the absence of a staircase, replaced by a sloping corridor. This enabled the sovereigns to be carried on a chariot from one floor to the next, up to the terrace offering a beautiful view of the city. The Bihariji temple (1776) features beautiful frescoes evoking the Ramayana and the adventures of Krishna and his shepherdesses.
