RAGHUNATH TEMPLE
One of the largest temples in the region, with beautiful murals inside, including floral motifs on the arches
Built between 1844 and 1850 by Harkanth Rai Poddar, it is also known as Barra Mandir. It is one of the largest temples in the region. Inside, there are beautiful murals, such as this cow and tiger drinking milk side by side or the floral motifs adorning the arches and marble statues of Shiva. The temple is in the main street of the village and to reach it, you have to climb the flight of stairs. From the outside, it looks like a traditional haveli, with small stores on both sides.
