For those who dream of sleeping in a palace in the middle of a lake, but cannot afford the Taj in Udaipur, this is the place to be. You have to borrow a boat to get to this old hunting lodge and cross the man-made lake. The 40 very spacious rooms overlook the surrounding lake and forest. The most beautiful are located in the turrets. It is regrettable that the whole place is dilapidated and not always very well maintained, like the swimming pool with turbid waters.
