The first youth hostel to open in Udaipur, Zostel has 6 mixed or single-sex dormitories, air-conditioned and with shared bathroom facilities in each room. There are also a few double rooms, but these are not worth the asking price, even if they are clean and bright. To find your room, follow the Ariadne's thread of the right color on the wall and on the stairs. Colorful framing at the (small) reception desk and a huge blackboard where you can chalk up the dream of your life. The hotel is very well located, at the foot of the City Palace and the lake.
